As a Python Software Developer, you’ll join a collaborative product-engineering team working on the core transactional platform. This is a hands-on role building scalable, secure APIs and microservices, processing high-volume payments and integrations with global banking networks.You’ll play a critical role in delivering innovative financial features and improving backend architecture to support global expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain robust Python microservices for financial transaction processing.
- Work on real-time APIs and backend systems with high availability and low latency.
- Integrate with third-party financial services (banks, KYC, FX platforms, etc.).
- Collaborate with DevOps, Product Managers, and Data Scientists on feature development.
- Contribute to architectural discussions, technical documentation, and peer code reviews.
- Champion secure coding, test coverage, and performance optimisation.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, REST APIs, and modern frameworks (FastAPI, Flask or Django).
- Proficient with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.).
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines in cloud-native environments (AWS/GCP).
- Familiar with financial data security standards and working in regulated environments (e.g., PCI DSS).
- Bonus: Knowledge of payments systems (SWIFT, SEPA, ACH) or prior fintech experience.
