The Role
The Paid Media Lead is responsible for orchestrating integrated paid media plans, managing substantial media budgets exceeding $10M, and optimizing global brand and demand campaigns across marketing and sales channels. This role plans and executes digital marketing initiatives through paid search, display, programmatic, and other paid media channels. They will drive the development of paid media strategies, analyze performance metrics, and cultivate and manage relationships with media partners to enhance brand reach and perception, acquire customers, and ensure customer loyalty and retention.
This role sits in the digital & integrated marketing team, and works closely with product marketing, brand marketing, customer experience (CX), product management, and sales to bring revenue-generating products and solutions to market while increasing the visibility and influence of the brand through marketing & partner channels.
The position will be headquartered on the East Coast and will be supported by the Director, Integrated Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and execute integrated digital marketing campaigns and brand/demand activations across paid channels.
- Conceptualize, develop, and implement paid media strategies that are consistent with brand standards and align with marketing goals and objectives.
- Direct agencies and partners to plan and execute paid media campaigns across digital channels, including search, social, and both direct and programmatic display.
- Conduct audience research and analysis to identify target demographics and media habits.
- Work with paid media partners to ensure paid media value is achieved.
- Lead a team of paid media specialists to execute media buying and campaign management and reporting in house, as appropriate.
- Oversee the optimization of paid media campaigns to improve performance and achieve KPIs.
- Monitor paid media performance and ensure the provision of regular reporting on campaign effectiveness. Deliver reporting on paid marketing performance and KPIs to stakeholders across the organization.
- Manage paid media budgets and ensure effective allocation of resources to reach KPIs.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Â
- Proven experience as a Planning & Paid Media Manager or in a similar paid media planning and buying leadership role.Â
- Strong understanding of paid media planning and buying principles, including audience targeting, negotiation, and optimization.Â
- Experience with paid media planning and buying tools and platforms.Â
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends and opportunities.Â
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Â
- Experience with budget management and financial analysis.Â
- Strong understanding of advertising regulations and guidelines.Â
- Experience with other paid media channels, such as display advertising, native advertising, or video advertising, is preferred.Â
- A portfolio of work that demonstrates the ability to develop and execute effective paid media strategies.Â
