They collect data from dozens of data sources, ranging from industry research, macroeconomic data, web analytics info, transactional data, subscriptions and memberships, customer event-level data, media data, third party data and much, much more. Their data is extremely varied, some being very finely grained, event-level data, others being already aggregated to various degrees. It also arrives on different schedules!
The business logic they apply to the data is complex and the end uses for data are varied. All this requires well-designed, robust, future-proofed data visualisation and performance reporting skills that can keep up with the business and support our ambitious plans to unlock the value of data strategically.
