The Organisation
TDRC are excited to be working with aglobal leader in security evidence management software. Their systems play a crucial role in the private security sector as well as within healthcare, retail and within sport.
They are supplying and supporting cameras and software to clients in 40+ countries and have offices in the UK, USA and Hong Kong with their international activities growing rapidly.
In this rapidly expanding market, they have sold equipment to the majority of Police Forces in the UK as well as many local authorities and private organisations. It's an exciting time to be joining this firm as they continue to lead the world in the development and application of their technology.
Purpose of the Role
- To strategically lead, drive and manage our sales business, within the UK police, healthcare, and other sectors such as fire, ambulance, and prison services, positioning the Company as the ‘go to brand’ for body-worn video.
- To drive sales by focusing on serving, retaining, and expanding our customer base.
- To deliver and aim to exceed agreed revenue targets.
- To ensure all sales processes are correctly adhered to.
- To lead, manage and develop a high performing sales team.
Your Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Identifying strategic opportunities across existing accounts and new business prospects.
- Creating effective go-to-market strategies which maximise identified opportunities.
- Leading on the successful execution of strategies and operational plans.
- Reviewing activities and taking appropriate action to ensure continuous learning, development, and success.
- Optimising deal completion by taking account of internal priorities, analysing options, and proposing solutions, where appropriate.
Sales Management and Business Development
- Building strong, valuable, and sustained relationships with existing customers.
- Identifying key decision makers and building relationships.
- Creating and implementing strategic and operational sales plans and initiatives which deliver revenue targets.
- Overseeing and managing the Bid Management Process for tenders, ensuring all requirements are completed correctly and/or information provided.
- Preparing and delivering high quality sales presentations and proposals – conveying the value proposition of the product simply and persuasively.
- Following up and closing business in a timely manner.
- Attending industry events, conferences, trade shows, webinars, as appropriate.
- Networking and connecting with industry contacts.
- Keeping abreast of market trends and competitor activity.
Financial Forecasting and Reporting
- Providing accurate and realistic sales forecasts with supporting data, on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis, as required.
- Providing detailed management information, across all accounts, as required.
- Providing targeted industry data, insights, analysis, and recommendations, as appropriate.
- Working with the Exec team to agree business and individual targets.
Product and Customer Knowledge
- Working closely with internal colleagues to ensure up to date product knowledge and awareness of ongoing product developments.
- Building understanding of customer challenges, needs, and issues.
- Providing feedback from customers to appropriate internal teams.
Marketing
- Working with the Head of Marketing to support the development of the marketing, where appropriate.
Team Leadership and Development
- Leading and motivating a high performing sales team.
- Proactively identifying individual strengths and development needs and taking appropriate action to ensure continuing high performance.
- Ensuring operational activities align with strategic goals.
Essential
- Substantial (minimum 3 years) experience in a senior sales role.
- Experience of selling into or working with the public sector.
- Understanding and evidence of selling complex products/services.
- Evidence of consistently achieving targets.
- Demonstrable success in building and growing sales.
- Proven experience of building excellent customer relationships.
- Team leadership, coaching and management experience.
- Excellent financial forecasting and reporting skills.
- Data analysis skills
Desirable
- Salesforce experience.
- Experience in the technology industry.
