The Role
As part of the wider group marketing team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring more financial advisers achieve success for their clients by adopting the capabilities and products from the investment arm of our business
Reporting into the Head of Brand and Communications, you will be a key driver in supporting the Group marketing team in implementing marketing initiatives that deliver against the business strategy.
Your primary audience will be their IFAs, who by definition, are able to independently select the best solutions for their clients. You will ensure their Investment products and capabilities are clearly described, well-positioned, and adequately supported throughout the sales funnel, market cycles, and distribution channels. You will also have oversight of the wider activities of the marketing team in providing resources and support for our team of advisers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and assist in running investment marketing programs, initiatives, promotions, events or research projects to improve the positioning and uptake of their products.
- Shape, understand and clearly communicate the brand positioning and benefits of using the company ‘capabilities FFand products.
- Proactively work with editorial, digital and production teams to create new marketing documents, insights, sales materials, communications and digital journeys to ensure products are supported throughout the sales funnel in both face-to-face and online channels.
- Work hand in hand with the multi-asset team to drive the strategic work and further build out the success story of Model Portfolio Solutions (MPS)
- Assist in developing a scalable ecosystem for MPS
- Support the Chief Investment Officer, the Head of Research and business and product management in building out a narrative and marketing initiatives for MPS, EIC & IFA’s
- Ensure product materials and insights are correctly displayed and available on the Group intranet and other in-house content management systems.
- Manage legal, compliance and subject matter expert signoffs to ensure materials are compliant and appropriate.
- Collaborate with the digital marketing team to ensure a strong digital presence for the investments arm of the business, both with current advisers/clients in mind and to help shape our overall business offering.
- Collaborate with the client comms team to define optimum client journeys and on brand communications to the relevant client audiences.
Experience / Skills Required
- You will have strong financial services marketing experience, preferably within asset management/ investments. Experience with retail financial products, including OEICs, MPS, and bespoke portfolio management, is required.
- Experience with financial advisers and wholesale investment professionals is a particular advantage.
- Evidence of a strong understanding of the industry and good product knowledge gained through previous experience in marketing or sales roles, or through qualifications.
- Excellent project/ campaign management skills and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Comfortable working in a matrix organisation with experience of working closely with senior management. A team player, who understands and supports the wider roles and goals of the marketing function.
- Familiar with promoting products in both face-to-face and digital environments.
- Ability to work at a fast pace and independently.
- Highly self-motivated and driven.
