The Role
The Marketing Analyst will support business growth by analysing marketing data and generating insights that help shape cross-channel decision-making. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop their analytical skills, collaborate with marketing teams, and contribute to data-driven marketing strategies.
As a Junior Analyst, you will assist in tracking marketing performance, maintaining data quality, and creating reports that inform marketing strategies. You will work closely with the senior analyst and other marketing team members to develop measurement frameworks and optimize marketing efforts.
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Marketing Data, Analytics & Insights.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Data and Performance Analysis
- Assist in tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing campaigns and customer engagement.
- Support the development of dashboards and reports to provide insights into marketing performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance the effectiveness of data analysis.
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with privacy regulations when integrating data from various sources.
Digital Data & Insights Generation
- Work with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics to track marketing performance.
- Help develop and maintain marketing data dashboards to support decision-making.
- Assist in analyzing marketing data to identify patterns and provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across marketing channels, including email, paid media, and web analytics.
Campaign Analytics & Performance Measurement
- Support campaign tracking and measurement efforts, ensuring proper tagging and attribution.
- Assist in maintaining UTM parameters and tracking links for marketing campaigns.
- Conduct data quality checks and audits to ensure reports accurately reflect marketing performance.
- Help optimize marketing conversion rates by analyzing performance trends.
Segmentation & Predictive Modeling
- Assist in segmenting customer data based on demographics and behavior.
- Support the development of predictive models to improve marketing targeting.
- Work with senior analysts to interpret model results and apply findings to marketing campaigns.
Reporting & Collaboration
- Assist in creating and presenting regular performance reports for key stakeholders.
- Support the implementation and improvement of marketing technology tools.
- Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to refine marketing data processes.
- Contribute to data documentation and best practice guidelines for marketing analytics.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, data science, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in marketing analytics or a related analytical role.
- Basic understanding of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio) is a plus.
- Knowledge of marketing technology platforms and digital marketing concepts.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of data-related languages is not required but a plus (e.g. SQL, Python, R)
