The Role:
The Social Media Manager oversees the implementation and optimization of the social media strategy, which is developed in collaboration with the Senior Social Media Manager. This role involves leading the social media content calendar, crafting compelling content, and designing innovative social media campaigns, all while collaborating closely with the Social Media Content Producer and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with broader marketing and business objectives.
This role sits within the digital & integrated marketing team and works closely with customer experience (CX), brand marketing, and creative teams to bring revenue-generating products and solutions to market while increasing the visibility and influence of the brand through social media.
Responsibilities:
Strategy Execution (10%):
- Ensure all content creation and channel execution adhere to the established social media strategy.
- Optimize on existing channels and any future launches, to improve results while ensuring alignment with company goals, driving engagement, and growth.
- Stay updated on social media trends, features, and algorithm changes, adapting strategies accordingly for platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and present recommendations to the team.Â
Collaboration and Coordination (15%):
- Work closely with the Social Media Content Producer to align on content creation and campaign execution.
- Act as a central point of coordination for cross-departmental collaboration on social media initiatives, including product marketing, brand, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with the Social Media Content Producer and creative teams to ensure high-quality, innovative social media content and campaigns.
Content Creation and Execution (20%):
- Manage the creation and execution of engaging content, including text, images, and videos, tailored to each social media platform.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g., influencers, partners) to design and execute campaigns that achieve key objectives.
- Maintain brand consistency and messaging across all platforms by crafting compelling, audience-tailored copy for posts and content that aligns with the brand's voice, tone, and strategic goals.
Content Calendar Management (30%):
- Develop, maintain, and execute a comprehensive social media content calendar, ensuring strategic and consistent posting across all platforms in alignment with key dates and marketing goals.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Content Producer to curate and schedule visually appealing and cohesive social media content and campaigns, including images, videos, and stories.
- Regularly review the content calendar to reflect evolving priorities, performance insights, and industry trends, making data-driven adjustments to improve outcomes and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
Community Engagement (15%):
- Lead community engagement activities, actively responding to comments, participating in relevant conversations, and fostering strong connections.
- Monitor and analyze user interactions, sentiment, and feedback to adjust content and strategy as needed (Social Listening).
- Amplify user-generated content and identify opportunities to build brand advocacy within online communities.
Analytics and Reporting (10%):
- Utilize analytics tools to track social media performance, providing regular reports with actionable insights and recommendations.
- Analyze campaign performance to optimize future strategies and report findings to the Senior Social Media Manager and other stakeholders.
- Track and monitor KPIs to measure success and ensure alignment with marketing objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a relevant field, with 3-5 years of experience in social media management and content creation.
- Proven experience managing content calendars and executing social media campaigns.
- Excellent copywriting, content strategy, and community management skills, with an eye for brand alignment.
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience working closely with creative teams, agencies, or freelancers.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, best practices, and management tools (e.g., Emplifi, Meltwater).
- Proficiency in social media analytics, with the ability to derive actionable insights to optimize strategy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration across teams and with external stakeholders.
