The Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join their team. As the CTO, you will be responsible for leading the technology strategy and driving innovation in the organization, ensuring that the technology infrastructure enables them to stay competitive in the rapidly evolving banking landscape. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our technology capabilities and lead the talented team of engineers and developers. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into technology solutions that drive value for their customers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in a senior technology leadership role, from a tech start-up/ scale-up, preferably within the banking/ financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the technology strategy and roadmap for the organization
- Lead engineering & infrastructure teams, providing guidance and support on technical matters
- Help scale the company’s tech capability at a rapid pace with optimized budget
- Drive innovation and technological advancements to enhance our products and services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Ensure the security and scalability of the solutions
- Drive innovation and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the technology team
- Ensure the security and reliability of the technology infrastructure
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior technology leadership role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
- In-depth knowledge of banking systems and technology, best practices and standards in technology and security
- Familiarity with SQL, Entity Framework, .NET, .NET CORE, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Docker, Azure/AWS/Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform/Biceps
- Strategic thinker with a track record of successfully implementing technology initiatives
- Excellent leadership and management abilities, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
- Experience from a fast-paced tech start-up/ scale-up
- Experience in tech transformation especially in transforming On Prem to full blown cloud/SaaS
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Fluent English language, Polish nice to have
